Assistant or Associate Professor (OB/GYN Generalist)

The Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Women’s Health at Rutgers – New Jersey Medical School has a full time position available at the Assistant or Associate Professor level, depending on experience, for the Division of General Obstetrics and Gynecology. This position will treat diseases and disorders of the female pelvis. Also, treats women during prenatal, in labor, and postnatal periods. Performs all aspects of generalist OB/GYN practice including cesarean delivery, hysterectomy, and all standard outpatient OB/GYN procedures. Plans and participates in medical care to both inpatients and outpatients seen in University Hospital, on our newly renovated labor floor, our Ambulatory Practice, and other sites associated with Rutgers-NJMS. The scope and breath of the applicant’s clinical activities will promote professional interests while covering clinical needs. Such additional professional interests might include global health, clinical research, patient safety and quality. Leadership opportunities available commensurate with experience.

New Jersey’s academic health center, Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences (RBHS) takes an integrated approach to educating students, providing clinical care, and conducting research, all with the goal of improving human health. This position is at Rutgers- New Jersey Medical School (NJMS) in Newark, NJ. Aligned with Rutgers University–New Brunswick and collaborating university-wide, RBHS includes eight schools, a behavioral health network, and five centers and institutes that focus on cancer treatment and research, neuroscience, advanced biotechnology and medicine, environmental and occupational health, and health care policy and aging research. RBHS has recently agreed to a public/private partnership with RWJBarnabas Health, which will broaden the scope and reach to all New Jerseyans.

QUALIFICATIONS include New Jersey Medical License and Board Eligible or Board Certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
