The Division of General Obstetrics & Gynecology at Stony Brook Medicine is recruiting two full-time faculty members at the level of Assistant/Associate Professor rank to join a busy academic practice with an established history of excellence. Position responsibilities include clinical care of outpatients, inpatient deliveries, surgeries, and involvement in medical student, resident, and fellow education. The second position also includes the responsibilities for leading our Global Women's Health Program. We consider Global Women's Health to be a cornerstone of our academic mission and we are excited to find someone who shares our passion and can help advance our curriculum and strength our ties with the international women's health community.

The Department encompasses faculty in each of the recognized specialties, an accredited Residency program, an accredited Fellowship in Maternal Fetal Medicine and a two-year Minimally Invasive and Robotic Surgery Fellowship. The faculty are active in all areas of clinical care, education and research.

Stony Brook University Hospital is the tertiary care center for Suffolk County, the Regional Trauma Center, and the Regional Perinatal Center with over 4200 deliveries per year. It is a 603 bed hospital which is in the process of a $500 million expansion, with a new Children's Hospital and a 500,000 square foot clinical and research space.

Candidates must be board eligible or board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology. The Division of General Obstetrics & Gynecology at Stony Brook Medicine is seeking a fellowship trained pediatric adolescent gynecologist committed to an academic career. Stony Brook recently opened a new Children's Hospital which provides an opportunity to collaborate with Pediatrics as well as Surgical specialists. There are currently 5 pediatric surgeons and 2 Pediatric Urologists. We are looking for a passionate person to continue to develop our Pediatric and Adolescent program and enhance our collaboration across services.

Responsibilities will include inpatient and outpatient care of pediatric patients as well as teaching and mentoring of residents, medical students, and fellows. Opportunities to participate in the obstetric care of women are also available.

Stony Brook Medicine is the academic medical center for Suffolk County, Long Island (1.5M people). The department currently performs more than 4000 deliveries, 1400 surgical procedures and 60K outpatient visits per year. Stony Brook is completing a $500 million expansion, opening two new buildings in 2019; the Hospital Pavilion that includes the new Children's Hospital, and the Medical and Research Translational (MART) building that is home to the new Stony Brook University Cancer Center.

The Department encompasses faculty from all specialties, an accredited Residency program (5/yr), and accredited Fellowships in Maternal Fetal Medicine and Minimally Invasive and Robotic Gyn Surgery.

University Hospitals MacDonald Women’s Hospital of Cleveland has initiated a national search to identify candidates to serve as Medical Director of Women’s Health for our UH Rainbow Center for Women and Children.

The UH Rainbow Center for Women & Children is a new, 40,000 sq. ft. state-of-the-art center located in a vibrant, growing urban health-tech corridor where health care services offered include general OB/GYN and pediatrics and adolescent primary care.  Additional key services provided are dentistry, optometry, group care Centering pregnancy and parenting classes, lactation support, integrated mental/behavioral health services, nutrition education and classes, and ambulatory pharmacy.  There are also extensive resources dedicated to addressing the social determinants of health including a full time medical-legal clinic, collaborative partnership with an adjacent new grocery store and our full time nutritionists, and community navigators.  The Medical director will have the goal of advancing the field of General OB/GYN through patient care, practice innovation, research, education, community outreach, and advocacy.  In addition, we are seeking dynamic individuals interested in optimizing faculty and staff engagement through attention to diversity recruitment, retention, career development, personal leadership development, and effective communication.
