Full-time Faculty – OB/GYN Collaborative Care Practice (Annapolis Maryland)

The Obstetrics and Gynecology (OBGYN) Faculty represents the Anne Arundel Medical Center Obstetrics and Gynecology residency training program and the Women's and Children's Service with which it is associated. The OBGYN Faculty will provide resident instruction, supervision and role modeling, assist with the design of educational curricula and evaluation methods, and ensure appropriate core administrative support for tasks such as organizing educational events and scheduling. Provide evaluation of resident physicians required to meet the educational objectives of the residency program.

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Virginia Commonwealth University Medical Center is seeking a BC/BE obstetrician/gynecologist to join our faculty at the Assistant/Associate Professor level. VCU is committed to excellence in clinical care, teaching and research opportunities including clinical, translational, and basic research. Responsibilities for this position include clinical research, supervision of residents and medical students, and participation in an active clinical practice.  Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment, or commitment to do so as a faculty member is essential for this position.

Lead the Dedicated Women’s Emergency Department at Women & Infants Hospital/Alpert Medical School of Brown University in Providence, RI as a member of the Division of General Obstetrics and Gynecology in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology

Women & Infants Hospital/Alpert Medical School of Brown University introduces a desirable opportunity to be the Medical Director of the Women’s Dedicated Emergency Department at Women & Infants Hospital.   This is a full-time academic appointment within the Division of General Obstetrics and Gynecology, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, ranked #11 in 2019 US News and World report Best Obstetrics and Gynecology Programs, affiliated with the Alpert Medical School of Brown University.

 As the Medical Director you will:

  • Have 20% dedicated administrative protected time
  • Evaluate, track, and communicate quality metrics (e.g. time to provider, ED length of stay, etc.) and patient satisfaction scores to improve on ED throughput and patient satisfaction
  • Update ED clinical guidelines and protocols to ensure adherence with evidence-based practice
  • Work closely with key leaders including
    • ED Nurse Manager to oversee both clinical and administrative staff
    • Quality Department to ensure regulatory compliance
    • Director of Patient and Family Centered Care on patient satisfaction initiatives
    • Directors of inpatient and outpatient divisions ensure care coordination
    • HIM and IS to maximize provider documentation and subsequent coding/billing
