                Position: Full Time, Employed Nocturnist

              Seeking a highly engaged leader for the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Sinai Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland.

                Provide inpatient coverage for Labor and Delivery and OB triage

  •  Consult for post-partum and Emergency Departments
  • Oversee Emergency Department and Gynecologic emergencies that includes but is not
  • limited to miscarriages, ectopic pregnancies and complications of GYN surgery
  •  Manage labor floor that provides coverage of both low risk and high-risk pregnancies
  • Perform vaginal deliveries as well as operative deliveries, cesarean sections, both
  • primary and repeat procedures
  •  Regularly scheduled shifts from 12-14 hours which include weekends and week nights.
  • A total of 12 shifts per month. Holiday coverage on as needed basis.

       Qualifications

  •  MD or DO or Foreign Equivalent from an Accredited Medical School
  •  Board Certified or Board Eligible
  •  Procedures to conduct; vaginal delivery, operative vaginal delivery, cesarean section,
  • cesarean hysterectomy, laparoscopic salpingectomy for ectopic pregnancy, diagnostic
  • laparoscopy, dilation and curettage
  • Proficiency in utilizing Cerner a plus
  •  Minimum 3 years of experience
  •  Ability to successfully obtain a Maryland medical license & DEA license
  •  Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Must work well in a team environment
  •  Ability to prioritize the patient/family experience

Our department has 18 O8/GYNs, 3 Maternal Fetal Medicine specialists, 2 Urogynecologists, 2 GYN/ONC, 2 certified nurse midwives on staff, and 16 residents (4 per year)

The Birth Place at Sinai Hospital is an integral part of the Baltimore community. We perform 2,000 births annually and have a Level 3 NICU. The unit is further supported by our team of Maternal Fetal Medicine specialists for high risk pregnancies. The divisions of Gynecologic Oncology and Urogynecology are also available for surgical support as indicated.

UNC OB-GYN climbs two spots in NIH funding to 5th in obstetrics ...
             DIRECTOR OF GENERAL OBSTETRICS AND GYNECOLOGY DIVISION

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is recruiting a highly motivated Director for the Division of General Obstetrics and Gynecology, comprised of 15 physicians, 7 advanced practice providers and 3 fellows in an academic generalist fellowship program. The division excels in transformative patient care, innovative research and education of trainees at all levels. The division offers a wide breadth of clinical and surgical care, low risk obstetrical care, the full range of outpatient gynecology including menopausal, pediatric and adolescent care, the full range of gynecologic surgery including minimally invasive, vaginal and abdominal.

The Division’s mission is to serve the people of North Carolina.  We provide outpatient services in the boutique town of Cary and scenic town of Chapel Hill, NC. Division members also provide care for the NC Correctional Institute for Women in Raleigh. Horizons, a perinatal substance abuse program, is housed within the General OB-GYN Division and operates a state-of-the-art wellness program for women and their children. Participating women receive prenatal care and have the option for intensive outpatient care, residential treatment and a 40-bed daycare. The Horizons Executive Director has been NIH-funded for over 20 years in studies related to opioid use disorders in pregnancy.

The division is well represented in the School of Medicine with 2 faculty members holding Dean level positions and multiple service line leaders. For those interested in medical education, there is a wide bench of experience in preclinical and clinical phases of the curriculum. Our faculty play a regular and active role in resident supervision.

 The Division Director of GOG will join the executive leadership team of the UNC-Chapel Hill Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, one of the top programs in the country. With over 100 faculty in 10 different divisions and more than 50 residents and fellows, this department is known for its innovative clinical care, robust research portfolio (ranked #3 in NIH funding), and outstanding training programs, (a Doximity ranked #3 residency program and 8 fellowships).

 Board Certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology is required. Ideal candidates will have previous leadership experience or training, and will have a track record of meaningful research and/or scholarly activity. Candidates should have practiced in an academic environment and, at minimum, have held a faculty appointment at the Assistant Professor rank for over four years.  Rank and salary will be commensurate with experience.

Associate Chair of Clinical Integration and Operations

The Associate Chair of Clinical Integration and Operations is a full time position that will report directly to the Chair of Women’s Health.  The Associate Chair will play an integral leadership role in Departmental strategy and clinical operations.

Specific job responsibilities will include: 

  • Provide leadership of clinical operations in the Department, with a focus on gynecology services
  • Co-lead the strategic planning process for clinical program development in the Department
  • Lead the design, implementation and iteration of value-based clinical care models in selected aspects of women’s healthcare
  • Cultivate relationships with community providers, organizations and institutions in Austin as well as and public and private payors, with the goal of aligning operations with value
  • Lead the development and implementation of strategic quality and safety initiatives across the community
  • Initiate and enable various clinical practice models for faculty and affiliated physicians within the community
  • Develop metrics and performance evaluation processes for providers clinical contributionCollaborate with other schools at the University of Texas at Austin and across the University of Texas system to generate multidisciplinary and inter-professional value-based care opportunities
  • Assess new technologies and techniques in terms of their contribution to improving value in clinical care
  • Collaborate with Associate Chairs of Investigation and Discovery and Education to ensure cohesive, mutually reinforcing initiatives
  • Represent the Department in key clinical decision-making bodies within the Dell Medical School and with affiliates

Director, General Obstetrics and Gynecology Division

TENNESSEE- Vanderbilt University Medical Center, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is seeking a Director for its General Obstetrics and Gynecology Division. The candidate should be Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Assistant, Associate or Full Professor level, depending on experience and qualifications.
The Generalist Division is comprised of 20 physicians & 32 advanced practice providers (WHNPs & CNMs) and boasts several robust sections, including Pediatric & Adolescent Gynecology, a Maternal Addiction Recovery Program, PCOS clinic, Complex Family Planning clinic, Colposcopy clinic, as well as inpatient & outpatient general obstetrics and gynecology. Our outpatient enterprise spans 6 locations, all contributing to deliveries and surgeries at Vanderbilt University Hospital, which is currently undergoing a renovation of the Women’s Services unit.
Responsibilities will include recruitment of new faculty for our continued expansion, academic mentoring of junior faculty, template review, provider deployment, schedule oversight, QA representation, teaching OBGYN residents and medical students, and collaborating with our highly-integrated advanced practice providers.

Strong clinical experience in both obstetrics and gynecology is needed in this position, as is leadership and teaching experience in a high-volume academic environment. The ability to promote and implement scholarly activity (i.e. clinical research, quality improvement, curriculum development, simulation) is encouraged.
